Summer feet – Part 1
After a long winter of you feet being wrapped up in socks and trapped in boots they probably are not looking their best so now at the first hint of sunshine we expect them to look smooth and sexy in summer shoes, when in reality they will most probably be the opposite.
But all is not lost, there are a couple of simple things to do to get your feet summer ready, firstly at the beginning of the summer get a really good pedicure to start your feet off, your feet will need smoothing, soothing and your toes will need buffing and polishing. Once you have treated your feet to a pedicure its then up to you to keep up appearances, with a bit of work they will be perfect all summer long.
You shouldn’t be embarrassed by foot problems such as verrucas, nail infections and athlete’s foot and keep the covered all summer as the problems never go away instead visit your doctor to get them treated. If you’re worried by the state of your nails fear not badly broken or chipped nails can be repaired with nail extensions, however you don’t need a full set on your toes because you don’t need length.
Dry patches of skin can also be another common problem you need a good nail file to keep rough, dry and dead skin at bay as well as making sure you properly moisturise your feet because the skin on your feet is much harder than on your hands and it needs a rich hydrating moisturiser. Also because you’re on your feet all day they will also benefit from one that contain Vitamin E which is key for feet as it has restorative properties while peppermint will refresh.
For extra soft feet, twice a week before you go to bed slather them in moisturiser and sleep with your socks on.
